During the "Elkfest", which happens in Atlanta on the last weekend of September, the Atlanta UCC provides a rummage sale to provide resources to the community.

This year, it will be on Saturday, Sep. 24 from 9AM-3PM.

On Halloween, the UCC provides "Trunk or Treat" to the children & adults of Atlanta, spreading God's love and cheer in the autumn season with goodies & tracts.

The Diaconate of our church host a "Call to Care" program where we follow God's calling in Proverbs 19 to be generous and share with those who are in need.

The changes we have made seem to make a huge difference. Thank you all for supporting the Baby Basket. The Baby Basket has been a Mission of this church for 25 years. It has only been so successful because of your support and hard work. Thank You all. I wonder if when Sue Weaver started this mission in 1997, she dreamed it would still be serving this community for 25 years.

We are giving people the $25.00 gift certificates from Freddie's. This seems to be doing a great job. People have expressed to me that this way, they can get milk, bread, sometimes meat.

At the Baby Basket, we are loaded with clothes, but we are only doing food by gift certificates. I do have a few non food items to help those in need, such as laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels and I will purchase shampoo and conditioner, as well as sanitary items.
